Jenny Ahlner is a Swedish artist and psychologist, based in Baskemölla in the south of Sweden. Ahlner works both as a psychotherapist and an artist in her local area. She is also a climate activist and the common denominator for these three practices are the existential questions we, as humans, have to reflect on: How can we live in this period of time? Can we co-create meaning together with the more-than-human beings in an era where nature itself is under threat? Ahlner works mostly with paintings and textile objects and sometimes with writing. She is interested in communication through art on themes like ecology, the human psyche and emotions; memory, oblivion and the impact of childhood fantasy. Her wild garden is a big part of her identity.
