Maria Björklund was educated at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm between 1983-86 and 1988- 89; as well as Slade School of Fine Art, London University; and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm between 1983-1986 and 1988-1989. She works with archetypes and metaphors, moving back and forth in time, fascinated by human destinies.
