Fiesta!

Inky Fingers, London
3rd-14th July 2024
Private View: 3rd July, 6-9pm

Curators: Liz Whiteman Smith – Emmanuelle Orr – Debbie Tearle – Sarah Hamilton

ArtCan invites you to Fiesta! – an exciting new summer exhibition celebrating ArtCan artists’ incredible talent, being held at Inky Fingers gallery in London.

Fiesta! is a visual response to the act or feeling of a summer ‘fiesta’, and raises a glass to the summer, to playfulness, warmth, colour, vibrancy and positive energy.

The word ‘fiesta’ comes from the Latin ‘festus’ meaning festive, joyful or merry –everything this exhibition will encapsulate. Around 200 original pieces will be on show from over 120 UK and international artists, with 2D and 3D works across painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and textile art.

Art is about experimentation and exploration, connection and conversation,” said Fiesta! curator Emmanuelle Orr.

What better way to do these things, than in a show that celebrates human spirit, creativity, fun? We wanted to put together an exhibition that is colourful and vibrant, diverse and eclectic, joyful and full of energy. Now all we need is you, art lovers, to come and join us this summer for a celebration of art- and life!”

Speaking about the exhibition, fellow curator Sarah Hamilton added: “What a dream to be part of the curating team for this wonderful exhibition! Fiesta! is going to be a bright, colourful and engaging celebration, showcasing the vastly talented and varied artists that we have at ArtCan. The curation team are beyond excited to hang our selected pieces together on the walls of Inky Fingers, bringing all the ‘Fiesta!’ party vibes to one very special summer event.”

Fiesta! opens to the public on Wednesday 3rd July, with a private view at 6-9pm on the same day. Tickets for the private view via Eventbrite.
