We are bidding goodbye to one of our Co-Chairs, Debs Henry-Pollard, and we would like to thank her so much for all her hard work, wisdom and wonderful direction during her time on the ArtCan Board.

Debs says: “After eight years of being a very proud member of the ArtCan board, I have decided the time has come to let others continue delivering the aims and objectives of this brilliant organisation. Although I told Kate and Rich of my decision at the beginning of this year, I wanted to remain in place to help oversee the transition to the new Artist membership fee scheme. This has proved to be a great step forward in creating a sustainable future for all our superb artists. I can step away from the board knowing it in the very safe hands of Rich, who will continue to be an outstanding Chair. It has been a real pleasure to work alongside him and my fellow board members.“

Co-Chair Rich Nicholls says: “I want to give huge thanks to Debs as she steps down as Co-Chair.. She’s been such a wise, warm, and constant presence at ArtCan during my time on the board. She has worked tirelessly on numerous initiatives over the years, is an ever-present at our exhibitions and events, and has played a huge part in bringing the ArtCan community together. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been lucky to work alongside her as Co-Chair, benefitting from her intuition, energy, and support. Most of all, Debs is simply a wonderful human being and, although will be hugely missed, she leaves ArtCan in a strong position and ready for an exciting future.”

Alongside her wise direction and generous contribution to our membership schemes, plus introducing Rich and our wonderful fundraising Trustee Georgia to ArtCan, Debs also introduced us to the brilliant Tom at TD360 and made our virtual gallery possible exactly when we needed it the most. We are all very grateful to Debs for her time, patience and vision for ArtCan, and she will be very much missed, but leaves us for an exciting new chapter and we wish her all the best!
