ArtCan works with galleries, but also seeks new spaces where art becomes a part of everyday life and with the aim of involving audiences in an organic and personal way. ArtCan’s artist-centred ethos means that the model does not involve charging membership fees or commissions on sales, to help artists focus on developing a sustainable practice.
About ArtCan East Anglia
The ArtCan East Anglia group is one of the first pilot regional groups set up in 2023 to bring together ArtCan artists located in the East of England, with the purpose of networking, share their artistic practices and be enthusiastic ArtCan ambassadors.
ArtCan East’s nineteen artists come from Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Essex. They have been collaborating since January 2023. As individuals they have exhibited widely in regional, national, and international exhibitions. Some are full time artists while others dovetail their art making into busy lives. As a result, members bring different levels of experience and expertise to the group, all of which is celebrated. They look forward to sharing their practices with art lovers in the Stamford area with this exhibition.
